Welcome to our bi-annual newsletter! PANORAMA promotes specific, replicable solutions for a healthy planet, currently featuring more than 1,600 case studies from 1100+ contributors around the world. By supporting global learning through local solutions, PANORAMA helps ensure that nature conservation and sustainable development actions build on “what works”.

Regional knowledge exchange workshops in Africa, Asia and soon Latin America are helping governments, civil society and local communities turn shared priorities into practical Solutions for advancing NBSAP implementation.  

From inclusive governance and sustainable financing to stronger biodiversity monitoring, these peer-to-peer forums showcase the power of collaboration and replication of proven approaches through the PANORAMA platform. Together, participants are identifying regionally relevant Solutions, pledging adoption and accelerating progress on the Global Biodiversity Framework.

In July 2025, PANORAMA participated in the Regional Knowledge Management for Biodiversity (KM4B) Africa workshop; an inspiring milestone in its ongoing collaboration with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), under the 2022 Memorandum of Understanding on knowledge management.

As a co-organizer, the PANORAMA team championed a structured approach to documenting and sharing solutions to local challenges.

The event was attended by practitioners from more than 40 African countries and culminated in the creation of the first-ever regional KM4B document, a powerful testament to unity, partnerships and shared purpose. Curious to learn more? Read our article here!

Cooperation is the building block of effective conservation. The recent IUCN webinar “The IUCN Green List for enhancing the management and protection of World Heritage sites’ Outstanding Universal Values” brought together Green List site managers to exchange experiences and share lessons learned.  

Each site contributed a Solution to PANORAMA, strengthening its role as an open, inclusive and neutral platform where practitioners worldwide can connect, learn and replicate success. By working with IUCN tools such as the Green List, PANORAMA empowers knowledge exchange and ensures that proven practices in governance, community engagement and biodiversity management are accessible to all.

In 2025, the One Health community has already contributed 24 new Solutions, showcasing how collaboration across sectors can safeguard people, animals and the environment. Among these are Solutions that promote wildlife-community coexistence, climate resilience and food security, sustainable agriculture, ecological restoration and equity in resource management.

One powerful example is the International Alliance against Health Risks in Wildlife Trade. This global initiative is generating and sharing knowledge, while bridging science and policy, with biodiversity at the heart of the conversation. By showcasing the Alliance’s work on PANORAMA, they open the door to a broader network of changemakers who can profit from the Alliance’s work and network.

PANORAMA - Solutions for a Healthy Planet is a collaborative initiative that documents and promotes instances of innovative, repeatable solutions in a variety of conservation and sustainable development subjects, allowing for cross-sectoral learning and inspiration.
