The Mexican Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will hold the Second Mexican Forum in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico from October 19 to 21. The theme of the forum is Roots of Territorial Sustainability of the Peoples of Mexico: "Native Peoples, Gender and Youth". The event will include a nature and culture pavilion dedicated to sharing the work of IUCN commissions, providing opportunities for Indigenous people to engage meaningfully with IUCN on both substantive and governance issues. #NatureForAll will also be present, with plans to highlight stories focusing on inspiring love of and connection with nature. |
