ONE NATURE, ONE FUTURE

Day three of the IUCN Congress looked to the future, as discussions turned to the post-2020 global biodiversity framework and how IUCN Members can support decisive action for nature at CBD COP-15. The draft framework has clear ambitions for protected area conservation; a topic well-explored at the High-Level Dialogue. Topics of debate in the Forum included efforts to protect environmental human rights defenders.

Today, participants can join a ministerial event to learn how the One Planet Summit delivered for biodiversity, and a High-Level Dialogue on the links between human health, animal health, the environment, and preventing future pandemics.

Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity will soon agree the post-2020 global biodiversity framework to guide future conservation, and scale up efforts to make our economies more equitable and sustainable.
