The impact of climate change on biodiversity and human society is one of the most urgent challenges requiring global attention and commitments. Using nature as a climate ally, the IUCN Congress will tackle these issues by focussing on climate change adaptation and mitigation, with 40 sessions specifically focused on climate change. Ahead of the COP26 in Glasgow, Congress will add valuable momentum to the climate discussion. For more information on the climate-related aspects of Congress, see our I am a climate champion page. The reflections below from IUCN Members and Partners address the impacts of the climate crisis on human-wildlife conflict and vulnerable communities, as well as the importance of restoration and highlighting the voices of those most affected by climate change. |
