Forest conservation does not stop. Despite the unforeseen pandemic that defined 2020, remarkable progress was made in the way of restoration, the application of good forest governance and new ways to think about conservation finance. In 2020, we set the Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions and pushed the Bonn Challenge to over 210 million hectares pledged. As we head into 2021, we join conservation leaders across the world to push for the promises of the coming years through initiatives such as the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, increased recognition for primary forests and the Race to Zero.
