Dear colleagues, During these unprecedented times, IUCN's Business and Biodiversity Programme is exploring how it can support companies interested in building back better, while continuing to deliver on key projects that help business address the biodiversity and climate change crises. In July, IUCN welcomed a new Director General, Dr Bruno Oberle, who will help lead the organisation on these efforts. IUCN also launched a new Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions, which provides the first-ever set of benchmarks to help business and governments measure their effectiveness and maximise their potential to meet these and other global challenges. In addition, the Rio Doce Panel issued a report on the importance of creating greater resilience to climate change, particularly in this important Brazilian watershed, already vulnerable from years of industrial activitiy. These and other developments are highlighted in this edition of Building Bridges. For more information or to share your latest news, please contact us, and please follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter.
