Webinar: Wildlife Conservation after Corona; Challenges and opportunities in the Arabian Peninsula
With an initiative from CEM member Mr Ahmed El Gharib an interactive webinar titled "Wildlife Conservation after Corona; Challenges and opportunities in the Arabian Peninsula" took place on Tuesday 23rd of June 2020. The organizers choose that day in June in support of the World Environment Day. This webinar is organised by the Qur'anic Botanic Garden, member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, in collaboration with the IUCN Regional Office for West Asia (IUCN-ROWA) and the Commission of Ecosystem Management (IUCN-CEM West Asia). The speakers include CEM members Ahmed El Gharib (representing the Qur'anic Botanic Garden, member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development), Tamer Khafaga (Regional Chair, IUCN-CEM West Asia), as well as IUCN-ROWA, Species Survival Commission (IUCN-SSC), Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, Protection and Wildlife Administration, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Qatar, Royal Jordanian Botanic Garden, Protected Area Program, World Heritage and Biodiversity (IUCN-ROWA). |
