ONE NATURE, ONE FUTURE
Nature: More important than ever  
 

As the world continues to respond to the global pandemic and starts the recovery process, nature will be a valuable asset in shaping a more sustainable world. The IUCN Congress will guide this transition.
Statement from Dr Grethel Aguilar, IUCN Acting Director General  
 

“The upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress will provide the foundations of the future we hope for. By bringing together top scientists in the field of nature conservation with leaders from government, civil society, indigenous peoples’ organisations and business, the IUCN Congress will inform and guide the transition to a more sustainable future. Recognising the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IUCN Congress will play a critical role in developing long-term solutions for nature and society. The Congress will explore the economic, health, development, sustainability and governance dimensions of the pandemic, as well as the way societies are adapting to the new landscape. In the following reflections, IUCN Members provide insights on global recovery, health and sustainability.
