Dear ,

As participants gather in Abu Dhabi ahead of the official opening of the IUCN World Conservation Congress tomorrow, a powerful prelude has set the stage for the week ahead. Today’s three summits delivered a clear message: transformation is made possible by working together. From Indigenous guardians and youth advocates to the donor community and foundations, the summits amplified voices across generations and sectors, reaffirming that a nature-positive future is built on shared responsibility, and collective action.

Tomorrow, the Congress will officially open with a ceremony focusing on revitalising global governance for nature and people, highlighting the value of multilateralism in an increasingly polarised world. Five thematic plenary sessions will follow in parallel, introducing the key Congress themes and offering the stage to diverse leadership voices. In the afternoon, the Congress Exhibition is opening its doors, with more than 130 exhibitors presenting a rich programme of discussions, innovations, and solutions for nature conservation.
